God Can, God Will! by LMJ

Dear Friends,

Lately, in my thoughts I constantly keep hearing, God can and God will it seems to be on repeat. Today as I was being encouraged through the Word of God, the Holy Spirit led me to Genesis 9-13.

9 “Where is Sarah, your wife?” the visitors asked.

“She’s inside the tent,” Abraham replied.

10 Then one of them said, “I will return to you about this time next year, and your wife, Sarah, will have a son!”

Sarah was listening to this conversation from the tent. 11 Abraham and Sarah were both very old by this time, and Sarah was long past the age of having children. 12 So she laughed silently to herself and said, “How could a worn-out woman like me enjoy such pleasure, especially when my master—my husband—is also so old?”

13 Then the Lord said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh? Why did she say, ‘Can an old woman like me have a baby?’ 14 Is anything too hard for the Lord? I will return about this time next year, and Sarah will have a son.”

I kept thinking about how impossible this situation looked. They appeared to be too old, which meant that seemed like they were out of time. But they were not, because He (God) had a promise to fulfill. God had promised Abraham that He would be the father of many nations (see Genesis 17), this could not happen without an heir. God is not a god that He should lie. I don't know about you (see Numbers 23:19) but that's encouraging. I started thinking of promises in my life that were yet to be unfulfilled and all I kept saying was God can, and God will. Is there a promise in your life that has not been fulfilled, well I want to remind you today, God can and God will! You should start thanking Him now for the impossible, He is not out of time and neither are we, everything works in the divine timing of God. There is NOTHING too hard for the Lord!

Waiting Eagerly,

LMJ
