It's Not in My Past...

Dear Friends,

Humble yourself in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up. James 4:10

In this life everyone will stumble. Just look at what Paul, stated in Romans 3:23 ESV, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." The difference is found the in the response when we stumble. While some stumble and fall into a pit of condemnation and guilt, other's stumble into the loving arm of the Father, and find His grace. Those who find the grace, are those who have gained revelation of who they are in Christ. Romans 8:1 NIV, "Therefore, there is now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus." When this truth is evident, we don't sit down in the guilt, but rather stand up in His grace.

We can find the prodigal son doing that, but first he had to make a resolved in the truth that He had learned of His Father's house. We find his resolve in Luke 15:8 KJV, he said, "I will arise and go to my Father, and say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee. The prodigal son remembered to whom he belonged, and that gave him the assurance that He could go back to His father, no matter how bad he had stumbled.

Remember you we can do that too! Maybe you can't solve all your problems, (he never asked us to). Perhaps you can't untangle all the knots of your entanglements, but you can arise and go to Daddy God.

No matter what happened yesterday, or even ten minutes ago. Forget It. Follow our brother Paul example, when he choose to forget those things in the past and move towards what was ahead of him. ( see Philippians 3:13). There is no future in our past. We can't change yesterday, but we can keep moving forward with God into tomorrow.

There's No Future in My Past,

Chanda Rose
