Like a Tree

Dear Friend,

Over the years, I’ve managed to keep some plants alive for up to 6 months at a time! I may not have a green thumb but I definitely know the basics. Plants need water and sunlight to grow. Period! There’s no way around it. While some may need more water and/or light than others; the truth still remains...they need it! Throughout the Word we are likened to a tree!

Psalm 1:3 | NIV

That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither-- whatever they do prospers.

Jeremiah 17:8 | NIV

They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit."

Psalm 92:12-13 | NIV

The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; planted in the house of the LORD, they will flourish in the courts of our God.

Matthew 7:17-19 | NIV

So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.

The Word speaks for itself! The symbol of a tree brings simplicity and revelation. We are like trees that must be watered by the Holy Spirit. Planted and grounded in order to flourish. They also need the son to produce food. We have the Son as our light source. When our roots run deep in Him we will not be moved of swayed by the storms of life. Instead we withstand them as we are anchored in Christ! And as we do the above we will produce much fruit and spread the incorruptible Seed of the Kingdom!

Know who you are and know that you’ve got what it takes because life’s too short to stressed when you’re JessBlessed
