Kingdom Agenda

Dear Friends, This is a good one!

Good Morning Ladies (and few gents),

A Thought for the Day: “…pour out our pain before God … When shade is scarce and pockets of reprieve are hard to come by, we can find comfort and strength knowing that our unchanging God is active, responsive and merciful at all times.” extracted from Desperate for Shade by Gwen Smith.

Well, after reading Gwen’s words, the Spirit of the Lord prompted me to read Psalm 139. However, I came back to verse 16 where I camped out for some time.

You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. (v.16 NLT)

GiG, it’s so easy to get distracted from a Kingdom Agenda when most places we turn we’re witnessing pain, sorrow, fear, and indecision. Yet, nothing is taking God by surprise. He is all-seeing, all-knowing, all-powerful, and everywhere present. God knows us, is with us, and greater still is his gift of allowing us to know him.

Once, I heard Max Lucado say in one of his sermons, “The big message is no one gets everything. But everyone gets something. It is time we pull together, drive out the enemy (discouragement, fear, sorrow, implicit bias, etc.) and find our lot in life and indwell it. We are warriors! Let us get fitted. Let us take up our warrior mentality. We are important to God; let us never forget it.

So, truth is, we will never be all things to all people. However, we must find the courage to say no when we need to and do not let it undermine our productivity with guilt. Turning down good while waiting for great is not easy for some, but necessary nonetheless!

May we be encouraged to stand up for roll call—survey the land like Joshua (Chap 13). We have a great inheritance that awaits us. Step out in faith.

God’s Got It… so we can know the TRUTH—Sometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our life. If we were to go through our life without any obstacles, we would be crippled. We would not be as strong as what we could have been. Give every opportunity a chance. See it as steppingstones and leave no room for regrets.

Called to serve and encouraging others to thrive,
