Supernatural Supply
Dear Friend,
Yesterday, I had to add up numbers (my income) to submit my application for health insurance for the boys and I, as I was adding up the amount, I just sat there for a moment, this doesn’t add up. ....I just kept saying this DOESN’T add up. The boys get social security but I use that for their tuition and needs. You can’t tell me God doesn’t and won’t supply ALL our/your needs. I am still in awe how good God has been to me. Here’s what I learned today.
1. God’s supply has nothing to do with a number!!! And if we leave it at a number, we limit God. I used to think it was about a number, I learned today the number doesn’t matter. I’m not saying a salary expectation isn’t important or necessary, I’m saying God is bigger than your salary. Phil 4:19 And my God will fill up all your needs according to HIS riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
2. Supernatural supply comes in so many ways. I can’t mark the times this year, that someone said God said let me take care of this for you. Matt 4:4 “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.”
3. Your faith and obedience can lock any door! Don’t stop tithing and don’t stop sowing. Hebrews 11:1, “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” proverbs 13:22.
4. All things are God!
Proverbs 13:22, "A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children,
but the sinner’s wealth is laid up for the righteous." RSV
The expression, “is laid up,” implies that there are hidden ways whereby God sustains the godly, though they do not see it with their eyes nor can comprehend it with their mind (T. Cartwright).
1 Corinthians 3:21-23:
So let no one boast of men. For all things are yours, 22 whether Paul or Apol’los or Cephas or the world or life or death or the present or the future, all are yours; 23 and you are Christ’s; and Christ is God’s. RSV
Psalms 37:25
I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread.
5. You need favor to go before you. Isaiah 58:11 And the Lord will guide you continually and satisfy your desire in scorched places and make your bones strong; and you shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.
My life in Him, May not “add” up, but it is evident the hand of God has and will supply. Glory to God!
Eternally Grateful,
LMJ
