Take Nothing for Granted!
Dear Friend,
Can I ask you a question? What happens when you show up? It could be at work, at your favorite restaurant, home, or just running errands around your community. What happens when you show up? As you encounter people are they encouraged, empowered, relieved of any stress? We’ve all heard the saying, “Their smile lit up the room!” Or “When he/she showed up the whole room changed!” This should be our testimony as believers of Christ! When (insert your name) shows, God shows up! There’s should be something different about us and that ‘different’ is Him!
Our words of encouragement, smile, kind disposition of love and warmth should never be limited to particular people or spaces. In 1 Samuel 16, Saul encounters the Light of God within David! When David showed up, as He played the Light of the Glory of God dispelled all darkness and the tormenting Spirit had to flee!
1 Samuel 16:23
Whenever the spirit from God came on Saul, David would take up his lyre and play. Then relief would come to Saul; he would feel better, and the evil spirit would leave him.
So happens what when we show up? As believers God is with us and in us, so darkness has to flee! We shouldn’t be adding fuel to a fire with negative words or grumbling in our hearts coupled with a rude disposition. What relief are we bringing to those we come in encounter with? Let us be reminded of who we are and whose are today! Holy Spirit help us to be sensitive and aware today our hearts attitude and responses to others. We are children of the Most High King and the King of Glory dwells within! David was a worshiper, and we should be too. As we worship not just with music (obey God) the lives we come in contact with should be forever changed for the better!
Taking no moment for granted,
Jess
