He Sticks Like Glue...
Dear Friends,
Coming into the house the other night, I was trying to bring in several things in one trip, so that I wouldn't have to go back to the car. As, I opened the door everything in my hands went crashing to the ground, and the tears began to flow. Have you ever had a moment that it felt like you life was literally falling apart? Well, that is exactly how I felt as I begin picking up the things that I had dropped. I felt like I had just fumbled the winning touchdown, and my team was depending on me.
As women-mothers, daughters, sisters, and friends, we often are the glue that holds our families together. It seems that if you lose it, everyone attached to you will begin to lose it. See we put a lot of pressure on ourselves when we think we are the glue that holds all things together. We have all heard that pressure bust pipes!
Colossians 1:17 (NIV) it tells us that, "He is before all things, and in him all things hold together." Oh, what a way to free ourselves from the pressure. You mean to tell me, I don't have to hold it all together? That is exactly what I am saying. We need to understand that there is someone holding us together, even when it feels like everything is falling apart. He can put us back together, even if what we carry falls apart. There is always hope in Him, for He does not fail or fall apart.
Relinquish your natural glue, for his supernatural superglue. When he puts it together, we can be sure that it will hold up under all the pressures of life. His glue makes everything whole again.
