All things are lawful...

Dear Friend,

1 Cor 10:23, "Are we trying to provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than He? “Everything is permissible,” but not everything is beneficial. “Everything is permissible,” but not everything is edifying. No one should seek his own good, but the good of others."

I love this particular scripture, because it proves to us that there are liberties that come to us in Christ Jesus. Quite a few of us have lived so restrictive when it comes to the things of Christ (thinking we can't have prosperity, health, fame etc.) that we miss the opportunities to see God move real big in our lives. There is a liberty that comes to Christ Jesus.

We are free to engage in activities, start businesses, live our lives, enjoy our friends, and not feel bound by religious overtures that keep us from enjoying God's goodness (listening to live music is not a sin).

Some of us have been mistakenly in a holding pattern, because we didn't realize God's intent for us, we didn't realize the liberties and freedoms that come in Christ Jesus; 1) freedom from sin, 2) freedom from the guilt of sin, 3) freedom from past mistakes 4) enjoying the beauty of things. Some of us won't even enjoy things around us, because we have made them "illegal" and there is nothing in the scripture that says we can't do those things.

Some of us have made past mistakes, and consistently punished ourselves for those mistakes by not allowing ourselves to move any further. Why? Because we don't understand the freedom that comes from being in Christ Jesus. We get to experience "spiritual do overs".

This morning the Lord kept saying to me, "All things are lawful!", I said, "What does this mean?" He said, "Everything that I have deemed for you in this World, is meant to be!" I made it lawful, when it doesn't even make sense. I am the one that determines what's good for you, and not man! I am the one who determines your seasons, and what needs to happen for you. So don't let anything keep you bound, by telling you what's not lawful for you!" I made it lawful for you (healing, prosperity etc.!)
