ALTERNATE ROUTES...BY C. ROSE
Dear Friends,
I have worked for the State of Arkansas coming up on 19 years in October. For at least 11 of those years, I traveled the same route each morning to work with full trust that it would lead me to work. One morning on the way in to work, there was a sign that said that we had to take an alternate route. I didn’t question the alternate route, or have any doubt about. I just followed the route and as promised it led me to my destination.
Why is it that easy to believe man’s alternate route, but then have doubt about God’s alternate route for our lives?
James 1:6 (b) tells us that “he who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.”
Doubt is defined , “to call into question of truth; fear; suspect; o lack confidence in; to consider unlikely.”
Man in their best intentions have consistently failed, and yet I, have chosen to have more confidence in their routes and alternate routes. Instead of putting my full trust in the one who made this declaration to me in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.”
No longer will that be the truth I live, rest, and abide in.
Today I declare, that I put the full weight on my trust on God route and alternate routes.
Prayer:
Holy Spirit reveal to me any doubt that I have in me concerning your flawless plan for my life. Show me how to doubt my doubts concerning your word in my life. I repent for all the times that I have allowed doubt to toss me to and fro. I thank you for being the standard to which I can stand against any doubts that try to arise against your truth. I declare that you are Lord, and your path for my life brings be to a flourishing end.
I seal this prayer in the Blood of Jesus. Amen
No More Doubt,
Chanda Rose
