My Daddy's Got Me!
Daddy’s Got Me!
Dear Friend,
I have to admit I’m a daddy’s girl. The funny thing is that I didn’t meet my biological father until I was 13. I had a good step-father, but it seems like immediately when I met my father I fell in love. I truly believe it’s because I feel safety in my dad. I know when I am having a bad day, or in a bad situation, that my dad is going to work it out. I know that if I need something, that my dad will do whatever he can to make sure that it happens. I might have to receive correction, but my dad is going to go to work and war on my behalf.
After I received salvation, I had to learn to trust God as I did my earthly father, as I have gotten true revelation of who God is, I feel the same exact way. The other day I was feeling the pressure of some situations around me, finances, children, singleness etc. but it was as if something clicked on the inside of me that said, “Nope, no worries, my daddy has me!
I was reminded of the words in Matthew 6:35-34, “ Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what will you wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air: they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of the these. If that is how God clothes the grass of field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you-you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, “What shall we eat? or What shall we drink? Or What shall we wear? For the pagans run after all these and your heavenly father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”
Yes, just like my earthly father, my heavenly father has my best interest at heart, He is NOT going to create me, purpose me, promise me and not take care of me, He is not that kind of Father, He is a good good father, and I can rest in the Promises that my DADDY's Got ME!
Assured in Faith,
LMJ
