Seek Wisdom...

Dear Friend, If you have kids most likely you find yourself reminding, and redirecting often! It seems as if the most minimal task can turn into a major moment. I asked my daughter to go into the room and complete two things...take something in the room and then bring an object out! Seems easy right?!?!? But sure enough she assumed she understood and ran off with juvenile enthusiasm only to find that she didn’t listen for understanding. She only heard words coming out of my mouth! And she proved that because minutes later she shyly walks back and asked, “Now what was it you wanted me to do?” This is how it with God when we simply just hear the Word of God. We’ve all done it. You sit in church and listen to an entire message, but if someone asked you how or what you heard you can barely tell them anything. Or maybe He has given you an assignment and you come to the point where he has called you to execute a certain task and you don’t remember what he said. In Proverbs 4:5-7 we’re instructed to seek wisdom and understanding. “Wisdom is the principle thing; therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.” We should seek the Father daily, on a consistently, and continually! We live in a time where information is readily available...but do we truly understand all that we hear? Pray for wisdom and understanding in your life today. Many times we think we have to only prayer for wisdom and understanding about the ‘big things’ but with God he knows that the small choices can make big results! He is concerned about every little thing in your life. Be encouraged you don’t have to figure it all out. Simply seek his wisdom and ask for understanding! Seeking Him for the answers, Jess
