HE called you by name.....

Dear Friend,

Isaiah 43:1 says, "But now, this is what the LORD says-- he who created you, Jacob, he who formed you, Israel: "Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine." This has become one of my favorite scriptures and here is why!! First, the Lord acknolwedges that He created Jacob, the trickster but formed him into Israel, the one who would prevail. He God, himself in His redemptive power, called him by name and you was His!!! That is enough to make you do a baptist shout!

God is saying, I set you aside for my purpose, my glory and "my" story! I have called you by name and if you read in the next verse it says (2) and ) When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. Which tells you that God has ENOUGH to sustain you. He doesn't care about your past, His goal is to restore you to your former glory!!

So stop trying to figure it out, stop hiding from yourself, because you can't hide from God, stop fighting the inevitible and simply become comfortable with the fact that God, has called you by name! His redemptive power is setting you up for the greatest victory of your life! A win/win!!! Because He the Lord God has called you by NAME!!!!!!
