God Has Already Approved What you Do.

God Has Already Approved What You Do by LaKisha M. Johnson

Ecclesiastes 9:7 ……………………. For God has already approved what you do….

I remember growing up hearing things like you are too loud, you talk too much, you always reading, why are you so goofy? Your legs are so long, you are way too tall for girl. It feels like the words went on for centuries. The criticism was continuous, and it would lead to a life in which I would begin to seek a false standard of approval. Not to mention, trying to discover who I was in a world that gave me a false measurement of success. A standard that would have me seeking out approval, accruing debt and wandering without clear direction. I am grateful to God, for my divine appointment with Him, for that moment in my life when I became clearer and He began to show me, how I would be used for His purpose. His conversations with me, which would allow me to see that He knitted me uniquely, for my “season”, according to His plan and His purpose. Romans 12:2, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.” The world’s measurement for success isn’t God’s. You were created so that He could get the glory out of your life, and no one else. Jeremiah 1:5, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations."

He has already set you apart; He has already a designated place for you, even when you don’t think that He can use you. I am sure Moses thought it was over for him after he killed the man (See this story in Exodus 2). I know he did, because after he killed the Egyptian, he took off running. Although he was hiding from the Egyptians, he was really hiding from himself. He had determined that his life was useless, and he reduced himself to work someone else’s land, in a job that wasn’t designed for him. Regardless, God had purposed him uniquely as the deliver, as the one that would be instrumentally used in the freedom of the Israelites. Moses was set up from birth, every part of his story, was designed for his unique time to be used by God. That means even his mistakes would prosper (Deut 30:9). God uniquely declares the same for us. Every intricate place and detail in our life can and will be used for God’s glory out of our lives. We just have to trust that HE, is pleased and that He has already identified who we are and how we will be used. This is the comfort He brings us in Roman’s 8:28, letting us know that He is working it ALL out for our good. If God says that you are good, then you are good. Don’t trust your eyes, they will only deceive you.

Prayer: Father thank you for being the final say so in our lives. For uniquely designing us for your glory alone. Holy Spirit continuously show us, the biblical standard for our living, so we won’t be confused by what this world says is ok for our lives. God I want to trust you, above people. In Jesus Name. Amen
